Diseases and Symptoms: Arthritis (Cat)

Felines suffering from arthritis also known as osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease may show overall stiffness, swelling of the joints, lethargy, lameness, decreased flexibility and discomfort when you pet or handle them in certain positions. You may also notice subtle behavioral changes, including litter box avoidance because the box is difficult to get into and out of, lack of grooming as they may not be able to reach certain areas of the body and reclusive or irritable behavior. Since cats are very sensitive to medications to control their arthritis we recommend nutritional support for their musculoskeletal system.
